The Brazilian shelf-stacker, who failed to make the final 12 of the TV talent contest after being rejected by Louis Walsh on Sunday's show, described the fetomaternal organ as "the most beautiful thing people can ever see in their whole life".
He told Real Radio Wales: "I remember reading this Chinese report about this placenta, [saying that it's] full of proteins that make you more strong. Honest you should try it yourself!
"I just grab the placenta and I start eating it and that moment right my wife starts screaming and I don't know why, and I start eating the placenta and I really eat it."
When asked whether he ate his wife's entire placenta, Taborda replied: "No, no, no... I stop by the belly cord."
