Futureproof eliminated from 'X Factor'

The boy band found themselves in the bottom two alongside Hope, in a disastrous result for Simon Cowell's 'Groups' category.
After both bands performed for a second time in the final showdown, it was down to the judges to send one of the acts home. Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne both opted to eliminate Futureproof, while Dannii Minogue voted for Hope to leave. Cowell told host Dermot O'Leary that his vote would be based on long-term potential, before sealing Futureproof's fate.
"Everyone raised their game and I could see it coming tonight. I could see it coming," band member Adam Chandler admitted after the result was announced. "We are shocked, but everyone was amazing tonight. We're gutted."
Aaron Delahunty added: "There is a reason we're called Futureproof and we will be back. We will be back and our album will be in the shops one day and you lot will love it."
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 6.45pm on ITV1.
