Andy Williams voted off 'X Factor'

The 22-year-old, who had earlier been criticised by the judges for his rendition of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars', was forced to compete against Beverley Trotman in the final showdown.
After both acts had performed for a second time, it was left to the judges to decide their fate. Louis Walsh opted to send home Andy, telling him that he had already peaked in the competition. Sharon Osbourne backed Walsh's decision, while Dannii Minogue voted to eliminate Beverley. Simon Cowell claimed that both performers had been "weak", but ultimately chose to send Andy home.
A tearful Andy then thanked his supporters and said that he hoped he had not let his family down.
The remaining acts will tackle disco songs when The X Factor returns next Saturday at 6.45pm on ITV1.
