Beverley Trotman voted off 'X Factor'
Beverley Trotman became the sixth act to be voted off The X Factor last night.

The 38-year-old primary school teacher competed in the final showdown against girl group Hope, who were in the bottom two for the third time.

For the first time in the series, the four judges were unable to reach a decision about who should be sent home. Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue voted to eliminate Hope, while Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne decided to vote out Beverley. This meant that the show reverted back to the viewer vote and host Dermot O'Leary announced that Beverley would be leaving the competition.

"I feel like I've just started," Beverley explained after the result was confirmed. "This is not the end for me."

The X Factor continues at 6.55pm next Saturday with a 'Best of British' theme. The final result will now be decided entirely by viewers for the rest of the contest.
