Dannii denies Cowell romance rumours

Dannii Minogue has denied rumours that she is romantically involved with Simon Cowell after a paparazzi photo seemed to show the pair holding hands in the back of a taxi.

Although she has admitted that she enjoys flirting with her fellow X Factor judge, Minogue said the photograph - taken after BBC's Children In Need last month - was snapped from the wrong angle.

She told The Sun: "That picture looked so wrong but it wasn't at all. We weren't holding hands, Simon was just stretching out his arms."

However, she admitted that their banter could be misunderstood, saying: "Simon and I do flirt in a really fun way. But I don't fancy him and I don't have a type I go for but I like a man who makes me laugh, who's intelligent and who speaks his mind."

She added that Cowell needs "dipping in cleaning fluid" and she would much prefer "someone like Gordon Ramsay or Marco Pierre White".
