Walsh claims sob stories ruin 'X Factor'

The show's judge complained that he is tired of hearing about contestants' personal tragedies and insisted that Same Difference only made the final last weekend because Sarah Smith cried at the right moment.
Asked to name this year's worst change, Walsh told The Mirror: "The public has been going for these sob stories and the acts go for the sympathy vote. There were far too many sob stories and far too much crying in this series. This is supposed to be a talent show, not Jeremy Kyle.
"With Same Difference it was crying not the singing that has got them in the final. This has to change."
