Rhyd's family not commenting on vote rumours

Rhydian Roberts' family have refused to comment on fans' claims that they could not vote for him in the X Factor final.

Some viewers have insisted that Rhydian may have lost out on winning the show because his phone line was constantly engaged, though ITV have strongly denied the claims.

"Rhydian doesn't even want to go there," his uncle Nigel Roberts told the South Wales Echo. "He doesn't want there to be any appearance of sour grapes and neither do we as a family.

"Rhydian is so gracious, he simply does not want to be associated with the rumours and wants to wish Leon all the best. We were gutted for him and it was really emotional. But, having spoken to Simon Cowell yesterday, he is looking forward to the future."
