The X Factor winner, who is moving to London to pursue his music career, said that he doesn't leave his house when he's in his hometown in West Lothian because he is constantly getting mobbed.
Jackson told the Daily Record: "It's not so bad in London. It's fine down here.
You can go about your normal day-to-day life, but back in Scotland, it's quite bad and hard because everybody knows me.
"I'm only up in Scotland for a couple of days here and there and when I am up, I spend it in the house."
Jackson added that Leona Lewis was providing an inspiration when it comes to recording his debut album, insisting that he would like to follow her lead of recording original tracks.
The 'When You Believe' singer said: "Leona learned how to do it and came out with an original album and that's the way they do it now."
Talking about his own record, he commented: "It's an original album. It's a really contemporary sound. People are going to get a surprise.
"People are assuming, I imagine, that it is going to be swing or jazz. It isn't. It's a nice modern feel, a Leon Jackson sound."
