'X Factor' Best of 2010 Countdown (15-11)
15. Louis gets Paije a second shot
2010 was definitely Louis Walsh's year when it came to the Battle of the Judges. So what if half of his acts were utter rubbish? While Cheryl, Dannii and Simon looked either grumpy or half-assed every week, Louis was always game for a laugh and thrilled to still be involved in the ITV extravaganza. He also showed his softer side when he won the cheeky-faced Paije Richardson a second audition after pleading with Simon Cowell and the producers. Good ol' Louis!
14. Abbey & Lisa exchange some fisticuffs
Two awful singers. Two unpleasant people. Throw in Natalie Imbruglia and some hefty right hooks and you've got the biggest 'WTF! OMG!' moment of this year's X Factor auditions. Click 'play' below to relive the horror.
13. Rebecca does disco
So what if she always stands still? So what if she's got the personality of a Lidl carrier bag? When Rebecca Ferguson sang the Club Classic 'Show Me Love', she proved that she has what it takes to be a popstar. Dance moves? Pah - who needs dance moves?
12. Mary thinks it's a 'Man's World'
The whole Tesco checkout girl story may have worn thinner than Cher Lloyd's legs, but there was no way you could ever dislike Mary Byrne. The Irish lass with the big heart and an even bigger voice actually looked like a contender after the first couple of live shows. Her rendition of James Brown's 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World' was probably her finest hour.
11. 'Hello, I'm Katie Waissel'
"There's no point doing anything small. Freddie Mercury wasn't small. He was an idol." Whatever you think of Katie Waissel, her stint on The X Factor will never be forgotten. Her first audition, when she turned up playing the role of a kooky Etta James and Freddie Mercury-obsessed Madonna lookalike, set out her stall as the villain of the series. It remains to be seen if her career can ever recover.
