Our latest battle features two classic X Factor divas, who both reached the finals in strong series. One went on to win, the other collected the runner-up gong.
Alexandra Burke (Series 5 winner) vs Rebecca Ferguson (Series 7 runner-up)
Alexandra Burke is one of the most popular winners in X Factor history. Her duet with Beyoncé, super-size smile and lungs the size of trucks meant that she was able to hold off strong competition from JLS in the series five finale.
The record sales may have dried up slightly of late, but she remains hugely popular within X Factor circles. She even landed a guest judging spot last year, filling in for a 'sick' Kelly Rowland. And if you don't like her? Well that's not OK.com.
Rebecca was another much-loved X Factor act. Softly spoken and timid, she only burst onto the screen when she opened her lips and started singing. Among the noise and circus of One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Wagner, she remained dignified and elegant.
Although Matt Cardle's earnest tones and rags-to-riches tale ended up beating her to the title, this Liverpool lass proved that she had it all throughout the Live Shows with moving ballads and classic dance numbers. Meanwhile, her debut record even earned her glowing rave reviews from the broadsheet press. A rare trick for an X Factor act.
