But what will happen in the second episode of X Factor? (We're going to start calling them episodes, because it feels more scripted than a soap opera). Read our predictions and make your own below!

Our points from last week:
And it all started so well. We got 50 points from Chris Maloney grabbing the wildcard spot, but apart from that we had a pretty duff week. We couldn't even guess Louis Walsh's ridiculous "you remind me of a little..." line right.
Our Dark Horse prediction (Jade Ellis) remains in with a shout, but we lost one of our Top 4 (Carolynne Poole) in the first elimination. Damn you, Rylan! *shakes fist*. We're not feeling too confident about Union J's future either after their week one performance.
Total Points so far: 50

This week's elimination: 100 points
We tipped Melanie Masson for an early exit last weekend, but immediately regretted it after we saw her belting out her Beatles cover. This week, we're angling towards one of the groups leaving.
The Girls are too strong and if another Over goes, Gary Barlow's going to have steam coming out of his ears. Rylan, of course, is a possibility, but there is a history of voting patterns that suggest acts get sympathy votes the week after being in the bottom two.
District3 and Union J were both pretty stinking in week one. MK1 still run the risk of alienating ITV1 primetime audiences. Out of the three, we're plumping for District3, purely because Union J have a member who looks like Harry Styles and their name is a fraction less ridiculous.

The Adele Factor: 100 points
It's the Love & Heartbreak theme week. Someone has to sing Adele. Them the rules.
While a little bit of us would love to see Lucy Spraggan do a Victoria Wood-esque jaunty reworking of 'Rolling In The Deep' or witness Rylan murder 'Chasing Pavements', the sensible money has to be on Christopher Maloney.
Surely the Scouse cruise ship warbler won't be able to resist a belting, schmaltzy take on 'Someone Like You'.

Cliche of the week: 100 points
Last week, we guessed that Louis Walsh would brand his boybands "a young One Direction". Instead, he called MK1 "the next N-Dubz". Who knew Louis was so urban?
This week, we're predicting a staged and awkward ruckus between Mr Barlow and Mr Rylan. Rylan will poke fun at Gary in his song or in his chat with Dermot. Gary will claim that it was the "worst X Factor performance ever". Nicole Scherzinger will shout "It was entertaining" repeatedly to no avail, and Louis Walsh will giggle away in the corner like a drunk uncle at a wedding.
