David Walliams has revealed that he does not know whether to watch The X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing on a Saturday night.

Speaking on Jamie Theakston's radio show, the comedian commented that he is more of a fan of The X Factor, but finds himself torn as ex-girlfriend Lisa Snowdon is taking part in rival show Strictly Come Dancing.

"I'm friends with Lisa Snowdon, who's on Strictly, so I really wanna watch that. I did see that on Saturday," he said.

However, while the Little Britain star said he is an X Factor fan at heart, he added that he is tired of the "sob stories" used on the show.

"You've got to have a sob story before you sing. You should be judged on your talent, surely? [Because] they are judged on life and not necessarily [on being] good singers," he remarked.
