The former rugby player did not enjoy his Samba last week and was relieved he progressed despite not learning the dance properly.
He is now excited about taking to the stage at the weekend, when he will be performing a Viennese Waltz with partner Erin Boag.
"It's great to get back to a dance I actually understand and enjoy," he told Claudia Winkleman on Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two.
"It's been a good week [in training] and I've enjoyed it."
Boag added that she did not think Healey's Samba was bad, and that she is also looking forward to dancing on Saturday.
"I thought Austin did really well. I was just really proud. It was a hard week, but it was great to get it done. The Samba’s gone now and it’s time to move on to the next dance," she said.
