Arlene fears 'rejecting' own daughter

Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has revealed that she may have to dash her own daughter's dreams of fame.

The star's 17-year-old daughter Abi would like to follow in her footsteps and join the entertainment industry, but Phillips has admitted she doesn't have much of a chance.

"I know that one day I may have to tell my own daughter what I have told many young people before her - that she needs to do something else with her life," she told the Sunday Mirror.

"Of course that would be incredibly painful and difficult for both of us."
