The political analyst has not fared well with the judges in recent weeks but the public have voted to keep him in the BBC show.
Rihanoff suggested that it would be a huge upset if he were to win but it is not impossible, telling The Mirror: "I believe in miracles, I believe in public support and I think we can win. If Barack Obama can become the first black President, we can win Strictly."
She added: "When I first met John, I have to be honest, my heart sank. I was hoping for a fit rugby player with muscles and a bit of rhythm, not a big teddy bear.
"But he brings such joy to people. And he wants to stay - he loves my costumes."
