'Strictly' named 'world's most watched show'
Strictly Come Dancing is the world's most watched TV programme, according to industry magazine Television Business International.

The BBC show's format has been sold to 38 countries and rebranded as Dancing With The Stars in international territories such as the US, Australia, China and Turkey.

The US version is currently in its seventh season and includes celebs such as N'Sync's Lance Bass, Olympic gold medalist Maurice Greene and TV presenter Brooke Burke.

Meanwhile, the remaining contestants in the current season of Strictly include Austin Healey, Cherie Lunghi, Jodie Kidd, John Sergeant and Rachel Stevens.

Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman serve as judges on both the UK and US versions of the show.

Simon Cowell's strand of talent shows, which originated in the US as America's Got Talent, is the second most watched worldwide show format.

BBC shows Top Gear, Aniques Roadshow and The Office also ranked highly as popular exports.
