The actress picked up four nines from the judges for her Waltz with dance partner James Jordan, with Bruno Toniolio commenting: "The English rose is back in full bloom!"
"I loved it. It felt great to get those high scores," she told Claudia Winkleman on spinoff It Takes Two.
However, Jordan said he did not think the performance was as good as it had been in training.
"It wasn't anything like what it was in rehearsal. I was more disappointed with the performance," he said.
Jordan added that this Saturday's contest will be tense as Rachel Stevens's position in the bottom two last week means even the better dancers are at risk of being eliminated.
"I think everyone is thinking: 'Anyone can go.' Rachel didn't deserve to be in the bottom two. I felt sorry for her," he said.
