The judges chose to send the actress home after her dance-off with Lisa Snowdon, with only Bruno Tonioli opting to save her. Lunghi and dance partner James Jordan scored 32 for their Cha Cha Cha on Saturday night.
"I had a funny feeling we'd be in the dance-off when I saw our score," she told Claudia Winkleman on spinoff It Takes Two.
Jordan added that he thought they delivered a "great dance", saying: "The choreography suited her and we had fun doing it."
However, the dancer disclosed his frustration that John Sergeant has remained in the competition at the expense of better dancers.
"This is supposed to be a dancing competition. I want to see the best dancer win," he said.
