All three semi-finalists were granted a place in the final last weekend after a tie on the judges' leaderboard meant that Chambers could not be saved from the dance-off.
Cole, who partners celebrity dancer Lisa Snowdon, has reportedly complained that the decision could cost him his chances of winning the BBC One ballroom show.
An insider told the Daily Mail: "There is no rivalry between the three celebrities at all on the show. The dancers are a different matter entirely.
"Brendan is furious. With him it is all about winning. I think he thought he had a serious chance against Rachel [Stevens] and Vincent Simone."
The Strictly final airs from 6.40pm tonight on BBC One.
