'Strictly' winner wants TV dance role

Strictly Come Dancing winner Tom Chambers has revealed that he is planning to use his new-found skills as he continues with his acting career.

Chambers is currently planning his future after filming his final scenes as Holby City's Sam Strachan earlier this year.

"I'd love to star in a drama with a twist - imagine The Royle Family but with dancing. I think it'd be great," he told The Mirror. "Whatever I do, I always want dance and movement to be part of my life now."

He added: "This has been one of the most incredible years of my life. I've learned so much from my time on Strictly. It was amazing."

Chambers and his dance partner Camilla Dallerup were voted as the show's winners in the live final on Saturday night.
