Cowell's brother to appear on 'Strictly'?

Tony Cowell, Kelly Rowland and the Chuckle Brothers have all been linked to next year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Producers are apparently keen to sign up Simon Cowell's brother to help boost their audience figures in the ratings battle with The X Factor.

"It's early days but Tony's been in touch and producers are keen," a source told The Sun. "The Cowell brothers going head-to-head would make great Saturday night telly.

"There's always been a rivalry between Strictly and X Factor and this would take that up a notch."

Popstar Kelly Rowland is also said to have approached the BBC about starring in the 2009 series.

"Kelly is keen to do the show and has made no secret of it," said an insider. "She's got a lovely figure and would love to learn ballroom."

Meanwhile, children's entertainers the Chuckle Brothers have reportedly been snubbed by the show because they are not "what Strictly is looking for".
