The broadcaster confirmed that she would love to appear on another high-profile family show following her stint on ITV1's Dancing On Ice in 2007.
"I would love to do Strictly but they won't let me," Burley told Metro. "One of my dreams would be to do an American Smooth with Anton Du Beke and float around with a beautiful sequinned gown."
Asked why reality TV appeals to her, she added: "I enjoy illustrating the fact I'm not just an autocue reader. I want to show I can be quite fun as well, although my son Alexander would disagree, obviously."
Burley was recently branded "the fifth horseman of the apocalypse" by Oasis star Noel Gallagher, who described Sky's reporting as "outrageous".
