Jill Halfpenny, who won in Saturday's final of Strictly Come Dancing, has landed the lead role in the musical Chicago.
The 29-year-old ex-EastEnders actress wowed theatre bosses with her performance on Saturday, and her future was sealed when they discovered that she could sing too.
Jill will replace Jennifer Ellison in the part of Roxy Hart, reports the Sun. She said: "I'm starting in Chicago as Roxy Hart in January. I'll be in it for three months. I love singing and dancing and this is a dream role for me."
In addition to her theatre prospects, she has also been offered advertising jobs in the new year which could bring her £1m.
The Strictly Come Dancing final won the ratings war against ITV's The X Factor. The latter started strongly at 6.30pm with 8.3m viewers, but this figure dwindled to 7.6m as people turned over to BBC1 to see Jill's victory.
