David Seaman, who stars in Strictly Ice Dancing on Boxing Day, has admitted that he nearly missed out on his football career, as he wanted to become a professional ice skater.
One of Seaman's favourite pasttimes when he was younger was playing ice hockey.
"It was a close call between ice hockey or football," he told The Mirror. "I'm going to get ribbed something rotten when the lads see me in my sparkly top and tights."
Other stars training hard for Strictly Ice Dancing include EastEnders star Scarlett Johnson, Hollyoaks actor Marcus Patrick, and presenter Carol Smillie. Seaman is a last-minute replacement for Paul Gascoigne, who was injured during training.
