The Danish professional dancer, who won the 2008 series with actor Tom Chambers, said that the ex-England cricketer looks like "a natural" on the dancefloor.
"My favourite at the moment is Phil. I'm sitting at home watching it, clapping on the couch, waiting for him to come on," Dallerup told DS. "He's got the spirit of each dance and he's not a trained actor or dancer. For him to pick up the character and make us feel the routine through the camera is amazing.
"He never looks awkward and for a man, that is really difficult. He's put in all sorts of situations and he looks like a natural. I do seriously think he could make it to the final."
Strictly continues on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.
