'Strictly Come Dancing' sold to US
The BBC has sold celebrity ballroom series Strictly Come Dancing to the US, according to this week's Broadcast.

ABC, the network currently enjoying success with UK imports Wife Swap and Supernanny, will make a domestic version for broadcast this May.

The show has been a huge Saturday night ratings success in the UK, peaking with almost 12 million viewers for its second series finale in December.

A domestic version has also pulled in huge audiences for the Seven network in Australia.
