The ballerina made her first appearance as a judge on the BBC One ballroom competition last weekend and was placed between warring pair Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood on the panel.
Reflecting on her experience so far, Bussell told the Daily Record: "I don't know that I want a new career as a judge. It was really nerve-racking, especially doing it live. It's been a nice challenge and it's a fabulous opportunity as I have always been a big fan.
"But it's terrifying being between Len and Craig. They've both watched me dance but I'm now learning from them as they know so much about ballroom."
She added: "Len was saying he was getting a bit hot under the collar with Craig being so close, and he has Alesha [Dixon] on the other side. But he says he is enjoying being between the two girls."
Bussell has been recruited as a guest judge for the programme and will remain on the panel for the rest of the series.
