Earlier today, The Mirror claimed that Minnelli is being considered as a replacement for Alesha Dixon on the reality show's judging panel.
However, a BBC spokesperson ruled out Minnelli appearing on the eighth series of the ballroom dance contest.
"There is absolutely no truth whatsoever in this story - Liza Minnelli is not being lined up as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing," they told DS.
"Alesha did a great job on the last series and we're looking forward to working with her again."
At the end of the last series, Alesha Dixon said that she would love to return as a judge for a second year, but admitted that she may be busy promoting her album in the US.
