Format tweak for next US 'Dancing'

The second season of Dancing With The Stars will incorporate a new weekly results show, Variety reports today.
For the first season - the highest-rated summer series in the US since Survivor - results of each week's performances were announced at the start of the next episode. This format caused some controversy in the finale, where viewers were prevented from voting on the performances made during the last episode.
Steve McPherson, president of entertainment at ABC, confirmed yesterday that a new 30-minute result show would be added in to curb the problem. "We heard [viewer] frustrations loud and clear about the voting process," he explained, "so we're adding the results show, letting them have the fullest possible participation."
