Twelve celebrities will team up with professional dancers in the hope of impressing audiences on the live Saturday night performances. Each week the contestants will have to face a public and studio vote, with the lowest-scoring team being eliminated from the competition.

The new series will also feature three new dance styles - the Jitterbug, the Argentine Tango and Salsa - which the competitors will have to perform under the scrutiny of judges Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Arlene Phillips.
BBC One's first live Saturday night show, presented by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly, will take place on October 15. Also, Claudia Winkelman will front Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two, a daily behind-the-scenes show on BBC Two every weeknight from Monday October 17.
