Gavin Henson makes rugby switch

Strictly Come Dancing's Gavin Henson has signed a deal with rugby team Saracens

The Welsh sports star, who is currently dancing with Katya Virshilas, will have restricted training time with the team until Christmas because of his dancing commitments.

Speaking about the move, he told PA: "I am still committed to Strictly Come Dancing because I am contracted to that, which is fine. I am enjoying it.

"I still need a few weeks of rugby training, which I will do in the mornings and do the dancing in the afternoons. Once that finishes, it should tie-in with me playing rugby again with Saracens."

Henson has not played rugby since going on unpaid leave from his former club Ospreys 18 months ago. He has since split from his long-term girlfriend Charlotte Church and taken part in ITV1 reality series 71 Degrees North.
