Goodman: 'Widdecombe won't leave'

Len Goodman has revealed that he does not expect Ann Widdecombe to exit Strictly Come Dancing any time soon.

The show's head judge admitted that if he were a viewer he would be backing the former Conservative MP.

Widdecombe and partner Anton Du Beke scored 20 points for their foxtrot last week - the lowest total from the judges.

"The British love an underdog and we like to be entertained on the TV," Goodman told What's On TV.

"If I'd been at home watching, I'd have been phoning up for Ann. I think she'll go for ages!"

This week Widdecome and her fellow celebrities will perform at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
