Henson: 'I haven't even had a fling'

Gavin Henson has insisted that he hasn't had a romance since splitting from his partner Charlotte Church.

The rugby star, who was eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing yesterday, claimed that all tabloid stories linking him with various famous women are untrue.

Henson joked that he was hoping his newfound ballroom skills would help him end his girlfriend drought.

"With a bit of luck it might help me bag myself a new girlfriend," he told The Mirror.

"I haven't had so much as a fling since I was with Charlotte - the last person I snogged was Bruno Tonioli on Strictly!

"I've been linked with all kinds of women, including my amazing dance partner Katya [Virshilas], but sadly none of those rumours have been true. About the only person I haven't been linked with is Cheryl Cole, although it wouldn't be such a bad thing if I was!"

He added: "To be honest I think I’ve forgotten how to get a girlfriend, it's been such a long time. In the past I've been jealous of the guys who can just get up and dance, so with a bit of luck I might be able to turn some heads myself now!"

Matt Baker, Kara Tointon and Pamela Stephenson will face off in next Saturday's Strictly final.
