Kara Tointon is said to be concerned that her bout of flu will wreck her chances of winning this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The ex-EastEnders star, who is currently the bookies' favourite to triumph over fellow finalists Matt Baker and Pamela Stephenson, has apparently been unable to rehearse with partner Artem Chigvintsev all week.

An insider told The Sun: "She is desperate to win and fears this will ruin her chances."

The final trio are to perform four dances each, while eliminated celebrities like Ann Widdecombe and Paul Daniels are scheduled to return for a group performance.

The Strictly final airs Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
