Ahead of tomorrow night's final, the Countryfile host was asked if he felt under pressure to compete against favourite Kara Tointon.
"I've never really paid attention to the bookies," he said. "I think all you can do is go out there and dance the best you can and give it everything. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
"If the public want us to be their champions, then we'll more than happily hold up that glitter ball."
Baker added that winning would be a reward for the effort he and Aliona Vilani have put in rehearsing around his filming schedule.
"It would be phenomenal for us," he said. "We've trained from here to the Outer Hebrides in the most ridiculous situations. It has been an incredible challenge for us. We have come up against an enormous amount. We've trained in barns, in community halls, in tiny little car parks, everywhere to make it happen every Saturday."
