Pamela Stephenson finishes third in 'Strictly'

Pamela Stephenson has finished in third place with her dancing partner James Jordan in the final of Strictly Come Dancing.

Despite being the only couple to receive a perfect score from the judges earlier in the show for their Viennese waltz, the couple had the least amount of votes from the public.

After host Bruce Forsyth announced the results, he told the pair: "I can't tell you how sad I am."

Stephenson said of her partner Jordan: "You have have been just incredible, you have made it the most joyful experience I've had for a long time.

"Your patience and dedication and talent has been outstanding, thank you."

The pair received a standing ovation from the audience, which included Stephenson's husband Billy Connolly.

Matt Baker and Kara Tointon will battle it out as the final two contestants.
