'Strictly Come Dancing' salaries revealed
Published Saturday, Apr 22 2006, 10:21 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Bruce Forsyth is paid £415,000 for each series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 78-year-old star earns far more than co-host Tess Daly, who receives £100,000, and judges Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips, Bruce Tonioli, and Craig Revel Horwood, who are paid just £13,750 per series.
"It's amazing. The judges are a hugely important part of the show, yet they're picking up the prime-time TV equivalent of the minimum wage," a BBC source told The Mirror.
"The dancers are also getting slim pickings, yet without them they simply wouldn't have a show. Presumably, bosses have had to clamp down on what performers are paid because such a large slice of the cake goes to Bruce. He's a legend - but he's an expensive legend."
