According to The Sun, Forsyth and the BBC have agreed a contract for the 2011 run, which will launch in the autumn.
A rep told the newspaper: "We're delighted and looking forward to the new series."
Forsyth's role on the show has been a constant source of headlines for numerous years, but the veteran entertainer has always insisted that he will keep presenting it for as long as audiences want him involved.
The 83-year-old's role on the programme was reduced last year, as Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly took over co-hosting duties for the Sunday results shows. The pair are expected to return this year after the new format proved popular with viewers.
Earlier this year, BBC One controller Danny Cohen gave his full support to Forsyth as host of the BBC's flagship entertainment programme.
