The Strictly Come Dancing presenter's well known sayings include, 'Nice to see you, to see you nice', 'Good game', and 'Didn't he do well'. However, Forsyth insisted that he did not regret his association with them.
"You can get a bit fed up with it," Forsyth told an upcoming episode of BBC Two's The Rob Brydon Show. "Especially when you go past a building site and get 'Good game, good game!'.
"I went to the FA Cup Final and if I heard 'Good game' once, I heard it a thousand times."
However, the 83-year-old added: "I don't know what I would have done without them in many ways."
The interview will be screened in full on August 5.
Forsyth received a knighthood in the Queen's birthday honours list last month. The star said he was "so happy and so relieved" to have received recognition for his long showbiz career.
