The drummer will compete alongside celebrities including Holly Valance, Russell Grant and Edwina Currie in the new series of the BBC dance competition.
"I love a challenge and this will certainly be the biggest challenge I've taken on. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I couldn't turn down," Judd said of taking part.
The 25-year-old previously took part in and won a special Children in Need edition of the competition.
Having partnered Ola Jordan on that occasion, Judd said that he hopes his new partner will be "someone who will push me and be able to cope with my obsessive nature". He added: "I'd also like someone I can have good fun with."

Speaking of his nerves, he admitted that he would "certainly feel a lot better" if his McFly bandmates were doing the show with him.
"I would love to see Dougie trying to dance," he said. "They are excited and nervous for me and they are also happy that their Saturday night entertainment is sorted for at least a week."
Judd and actress-turned-popstar Holly Valance have been named early favourites by bookies.
Strictly Come Dancing begins on Saturday at 6.10pm on BBC One.
