The ex-EastEnders star won the 2010 series with partner, and now boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev. The Russian professional will dance with Australian popstar and actress Holly Valance in the new series.
"I'm being all aloof now, but you never know. The plan is to stay chilled," Tointon said of her feelings on the new partnership. "I do think I'll find it really weird, but it's his job and I want him to be the best he can be.
"If you're going to be with someone who has that job, you have to be supportive. Plus I'm an actress - I sometimes have to do things that could make him jealous, but it's nothing that should come between us."
She continued: "I'm so envious I'm not doing it again! Of course I'm gonna feel a bit funny, but I want his partner to have the experience I had. Well, not quite the experience I had - let me rephrase that! I just hope he does really well again, otherwise he's gonna be a nightmare at home!"
However, Tointon admitted that she is not in a rush to marry "annoyingly" perfect Chigvintsev.
"I'm not really fussed about it. One day I'd love to, but at the moment I'm too young," she said. "I don't have the vision of the big day, although I would like the party. It's not something I think about much."
