Dan Lobb: 'Strictly Come Dancing scoring seemed a bit harsh'

Dan Lobb has revealed that he struggled to understand what the judging panel wanted from him and professional partner Katya Virshilas on Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking after he left the BBC One show last night, the Daybreak host also claimed that some of the show's professionals think the judges have been harsh on this year's competitors.

Lobb told The Sun: "I'm still trying to work out what the judges wanted from me and Katya and how we compared to other couples. I don't really know whether I was any better or worse than others who got higher marks.
"The consensus each week from the pros is that the judges have been really harsh."
James Jordan had previously been seen asking Craig Revel Horwood to "be a bit nicer" during the first weekend of the competition, claiming that some of the celebrities who had danced during the series premiere were "slightly disheartened" by the panel's more negative comments.
Lobb - who admitted that "acting" out a routine did not come naturally to him - continued by saying that he did not think there is "a particularly strict scoring system" on the show.

He added: "It did seem a bit harsh. I got every single step right and I've still been underscored. It's confusing.
"I was disappointed to leave because I felt I was just getting into my stride."
Former tennis professional Lobb also quipped that taking part in the show had led to more attention from women, saying: "I've had loads of messages on Twitter and sent in to Daybreak. When I'm out, I can feel the added attention in general."
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday (October 22) at 6.25pm on BBC One.
