Alex Jones has attended a military-style bootcamp in an attempt to get ready for this week's Strictly Come Dancing routine.

The One Show presenter, who is performing with professional dancer James Jordan in this series' competition, has impressed judges with her footwork since the start of the show but has now gone one step further in preparation for Saturday's edition.

Jordan arranged for Jones to attend the bootcamp to get ready for their performance of It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing.

Jones said: "James has choreographed about 300 steps into about a minute and 30 of music and if you get one step wrong it's kind of like a domino effect - the whole thing falls apart and becomes shambolic."

Meanwhile, Jordan added: "If she puts one step wrong it could be a complete disaster."

Jones has emerged as a strong contender in this year's competition, with the Welsh TV presenter earning 32 points for her Viennese waltz in week three and 31 points for her Halloween Paso Doble.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday from 6.25pm on BBC One.
