The TV astrologer, who departed the BBC One show last night (November 20), described the proposal to have gay men partner with male professionals as "daft".
"Someone once said to me when they first heard I was doing Strictly, 'Are you dancing with Anton du Beke?'" Grant told The Guardian.
"But in answer to your question, no - it would be daft. And it would mean I don't get to dance with Flavia [Cacace], who is so sensational."
Israel's Dancing with the Stars included a same-sex dance partnership in 2010, which prompted tabloid speculation that Strictly may follow suit.
Strictly continues on Saturday (November 26) at 7pm on BBC One.
