'X Factor' judge mocks 'Strictly'
Published Sunday, Oct 29 2006, 11:44 GMT | By Daniel Kilkelly

"It's for grannies who have lost the remote control down the back of the sofa and can't get up to change channel," he told the Sunday Mirror. "And people in hospitals who don't have any choice!"
The judge also jokingly claimed that the BBC's crafty scheduling techniques help Strictly to steal viewers from X Factor.
"Both shows are scheduled to start at 5.45pm," Walsh explained. "But Strictly Come Dancing keeps going on air five minutes earlier to trap viewers."
