"I hope she does really well, and I think she will," Drew-Honey - who will next be seen in BBC Three comedy Cuckoo - told Digital Spy.
"No offence meant, but the older people are slightly less athletic, so she'll have an advantage in that sense. And also, from when we were rehearsing Just Dance, [I know] she's got natural dance talent. She's done ballet for years and years, so she does know how to dance."
Drew-Honey also revealed that he was considered for this year's Strictly lineup and admitted that he would be keen to appear on the show in the future.
"I actually got [considered] for Strictly this year, but obviously I didn't get it," he said. "I don't want to take anything away from Dani whatsoever, but I think it might have been a case of choosing between me or her, purely because of the fact that we'd been on Just Dance.
"When I first heard about maybe getting it, I was so excited - I really wanted to do it. And then as time went on... I sort of got it into my head that I hadn't got it. And then I thought that it was actually probably for the best."

The 16-year-old Outnumbered star explained that he is still slightly wary of the level of recognition that appearing on Strictly could bring."It would've been a fantastic job to do - and I would love to do it [in the future] - but I don't get recognised a ridiculous amount," he admitted. "If I'd done Strictly... it's one of those things where you can't go back. Even if it's only for a certain amount of time, I would've been very recognisable."
Tyger Drew-Honey's new series Cuckoo - also starring Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale and Andy Samberg - begins later this month on BBC Three.
