'Strictly Come Dancing' 2012 unveils opening dance sequence - video

By
A teaser clip from the new series of Strictly Come Dancing has been revealed.

The footage shows the 14 professional dancers who will partner the celebrity contestants dancing around the iconic BBC Television Centre building in White City.

Celebrities taking part this year include presenter and actress Denise Van Outen, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh and London 2012 Olympians Louis Smith and Victoria Pendleton.

New to the judging panel is ballerina Darcey Bussell, who returning judge Craig Revel Horwood recently described as potentially being "a bit of a bitch" when it comes to giving critiques.

Tess Daly will resume her presenting duties alongside Bruce Forsyth, who recently became embroiled in a war of words with X Factor's Louis Walsh.

In response to Walsh's claims that Forsyth is too old for TV and "shouldn't even be alive", the 84-year-old entertainer said: "Poor Louis. What will he do when he leaves [X Factor]?

"Well, he can always make a comeback I guess... Except he's never been anywhere in the first place."

Strictly Come Dancing debuts this Saturday, September 15 at 6.30pm on BBC One.
