Strictly Come Dancing star Lisa Riley has confessed that she feels like a "princess" on the show.

The actress impressed the judges with her routine over the weekend, topping the leaderboard with partner Robin Windsor after performing the Cha Cha to 'Think'.

"I finally feel like a princess for the first time in my life. Nobody can explain how I feel right now. I spend my life playing mingers and all of a sudden I feel like I'm in Dynasty," Riley told The Sun.

"The glam squad make you feel like a million dollars and the response I've had has been overwhelming. My fears have been conquered.

"I never thought I would get the reaction I did out there. If I can inspire one woman to get up and dance, then I've done my job.

"To see Robin's reaction last night was priceless and I want to do him proud again. I'm not expecting the same scores. If I get four fives I will be happy but I won't lie - I would like more!"

Riley added that she believes Strictly is a gift sent from her late mother Cath, who lost her battle with breast cancer in July.

The former Emmerdale star recently revealed that her pole dancing skills secured her a spot on the show.
