Ann Widdecombe previously 'flew' during a classic performance on the BBC show back in 2010.

A source said: "Jerry has told producers she wants to fly as she thinks it's just the kind of flamboyant act that will help raise her profile.

"Like Ann, she knows she's not the greatest dancer but she's game for anything."

Hall's pro partner Anton Du Beke was also the dance partner of Widdecombe in 2010. The politician was strapped to a harness before being lowered to dance a tango with Du Beke.

Hall recently revealed that Bob Geldof, Bill Wyman and her ex-partner Mick Jagger have given her dance tips.

Strictly continues on Saturday (October 13) on BBC One.
