The former Coronation Street star and her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev won 28.13% of DS reader votes for their rumba, which attracted a score of 36 from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli.
Tonioli described the duo's routine as "beauty in perpetual motion" on Saturday's (October 12) performance show.
BBC Breakfast co-host Susanna Reid placed joint second on the night for her Viennese waltz with Kevin Clifton, which received a judges' score of 34 points. The pair also finished second in the DS poll, attaining 14.72% of the vote.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson and Ola Jordan finished third in our poll, taking 14.03% of the vote for a samba, which earned 31 points on the night.
This placed them in joint third on the judges' leaderboard with Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Brendan Cole, who picked up 12.42% of the reader vote to give them fourth place in the DS poll.
Ellis-Bextor and Cole topped last week's reader poll with over half of the vote at 51.02%.
Patrick Robinson and Anya Garnis could face danger tonight, placing second from bottom in the DS reader poll with just 1.19% of the vote.
However, it was Julien Macdonald and Janette Manrara who finished bottom of the poll with 0.41% of the reader vote for a jive which earned them 22 points on Saturday night, placing them third from bottom of the judges' leaderboard.
